Financial Accountant

The client is a global money transfer business with its headquarter based in Dubai UAE. Amal Express Company provides money transfer services to the Somalis and other nationalities including Sudanese and Ethiopians in the world.
Amal Express Company is currently working to recruit an experienced financial accountant
The Role
The role required is an experienced accountant to be based in Dubai reporting to the Division Manager and the CEO.
Tasks & Responsibilities: as the chief accountant for the company:
• You will manage the intercompany accounts; maintain accurate and complete financial files and records along with actively being involved in journal, postings of data to general ledger, invoicing, AR, AP, cash payments, cash receipts, banking, petty cash and other transactional duties following established accounting techniques and procedures.
• You will oversee the preparation of budgets, implement, report and analyse “Budget vs. Actual” variances
• You will prepare monthly financial statements and schedules, assisting with management reporting and analysis.
• You will be responsible for monthly bank reconciliations, fixed assets, payroll, treasury, cash flow forecasts, project costing and reporting along with assisting with internal audit and external year end audit along with all associated admin duties and ad hoc duties as required.
• You will be required to maintain the revenue forecast tracker for review by the Division Manager and CEO on a monthly basis.
• You will monitor customer credit information in conjunction with account receivables - follow up on all payments
• You will be responsible for accurate accounting and ensure adequate internal control in cash collection and banking
• You will reconcile all accounts and financial records of Amal Express Division and the other business units
• You will ensure that bank reconciliations are verified on a timely basis and adequate to prevent any fraud or inaccuracies
• You will be responsible for the preparation of inter-company reconciliations and the resolution of outstanding items
• You will be able to work independently, but also as a good team player with problem solving skills
